UnHoly Trinity
Reviewed By : Ms. Nita Samantaray
The book UnHoly Trinity has a biblical basis.
It has certain characters like Adam, Eve, Serpent which are a part the holy
Bible. The story is divided into three parts, the stories of Cain, Judas Iscariot
and Vlad Tepes. That is how the story differs from its biblical basis. Cain was
the bad boy whereas Abel was soft-centred and ‘nice’. I would say Cain wasn’t
entirely responsible for what he did, it was the situation which made him to do
that way. I liked author’s descriptions of the primitive lifestyle of these
ancient desert nomads. The second section was the story of Judas Iscariot.
Judas is a character with perfect humanity but later in the story he will
betray Jesus. The third part reveals another human being known for his nastiness—Vlad
Tepes. Vlad, unlike either Judas or Cain has no redeeming features and makes
very little protest at being forced into the process of becoming a vampire.
Taking the base from the Bible and adding the
flavour of supernatural and horror gives an extraordinary feature to the book.
It shows the Author Kathy Ree’s Love and Respect towards the holy Bible.
The book is full of curiosity and suspense. It
binds us with its essence till the end. It gave a perfect picture of biblical
set up. Surely it will take you to a different world.
