Book Review #22

Convent Junction

Reviewed By: Nita Samantaray

The book “Convent Junction’’ is a compelling read of a girl’s emotions. “Author Krishna Priya” creatively presented the beautiful phase of life. As detailed in the book description, the book deals with almost all the problems and mental as well as physical break-downs. Convent Junction is a story of a girl who grew up in the city of Vizag (Visakhapatnam) in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The story narrates the simple pleasures, occupations, and trips that the family takes. It describes the way of life in the 1980s and 1990s in a middle-class Indian household. The situation is quite different in the present time, when the young girl has become a bitter and negative housewife.

The book seems helpful in many ways to understand the reality and present situations. It is a beautiful way of showing how little-little things matter the most in life. The beautiful part of the book is it is not only helpful and entertaining but also giving a good learning to the society.

I strongly recommend this book to those who are in Love with their own life and also dedicate it to all the women.

‘I will surely gift one copy to my Mom.’
