The first thing which came to my mind when I first saw the
cover of this book was, ‘’It might be a serious type religious book’’. Then I
saw Author’s name: Mr. Christopher Meade.
How can I miss the one from such a great Author known for his Satire and Comic
genre. Christopher is certainly brave and humorous Author. The Book “STORIES FROM THE LIFE OF JESUS BY HIS
MOTHER’’ is written from Mary's viewpoint, with a 21st Century outlook. Mary's
journey from the Annunciation to the birth of Jesus and onwards are being
portrayed beautifully by the Author. His humour shines throughout. While the
humour is apparent throughout he still manages to show respect where required. We get the mother’s point of view, from birth to death, of one
of the most influential person who ever lived. In human form, Jesus supposedly
lived among some very interesting people, according to the author. A
grandmother who kept company with questionable people, a cousin John who
couldn’t hold his wine, and various other better characters make their way into
Mary’s diary.
This is the second book of Mr. Christopher Meade which I am reviewing and seriously both the
books are simply awesome. You will surely enjoy the creative portray of humour
and Satire. It is
a must read for anyone with an open mind and a sense of humour.
