What a compelling read !!!!
“Time
by the Clock” is a
powerful read. It will grab your
attention at the very first sentence itself. The story centred to an eight year
old girl and her journey for truth about her deceased father and the secrets
surrounding him. The story provide suspense and curiosity. The emotions of a
child are beautifully captured by Author
Chrisdina Nixon. The inclusion of other family members allows this story to
become real and as a reader it becomes impossible for me not to care for this
child.
In this book, each event, scene and memory
evoked is so detailed and truthful, that as the reader you are forced not only to
believe the trauma and suffering of the main character and narrator Catherine,
but you are also challenged to face the sad truth that violations happened
against so many innocent children is indeed a horrible fact and reality in this
real-life world, no matter which country, which place, and which area you live
in.
Once you open and start reading this book you
won't leave it down until you've read the last page. A compelling read that
will take you to a dark secret which will make you believe that it really
happened. It is surely a thought stimulating novel that stays with you for
lifetime.
The author has a unique style of writing hence
making this story a page turner. Hopefully there is much more to come from this
very talented author.
If you are looking for something which will
stick to you for lifetime, then surely this book deserves your read once in
your life.
